Really good! In the running for my favorite of the year so far! I’m not usually sold on plots that combine multiple time periods (it can get confusing to me) but it totally worked, and was fully engaging :)

All of Oliver’s main segments are available on YouTube to watch for free. He’s great AND cites his sources.

John Oliver did a segment on gerrymandering back in (I think) 2015-2016. It’s on YouTube and it’s really worth a watch to understand the history of the practice as a problem.

A lot of the Texas coverage doesn’t give outside background, and it’s critical. Texas isn’t the only state doing this.

So, I got the Wanderlust deadline dates all mixed up. Because it’s summer and time means nothing to me for another two weeks.

In lieu of motorbike fic, I’ll have the next chapter of When The Lights Go On Again posted tonight, and perhaps the 4th chapter Sunday or Monday. Just in casekies ;)

They actually get longer when I type them up!

When I handwrite them, I’m mostly doing the action and the dialogue, the movement but not a lot of description. When I type them up, I embellish them and expand.

Recent example: ch1 of Lights is ~1200 words handwritten, but 3800 posted on Ao3

Progress, progress, progress…

Yesterday I wrote 2 whole scenes I decided to axe/move, so today was all busy fully starting over. So having almost 4 full pages feels really good :)
