I agree that it is awful when evil people claim they are doing God’s will.
But I disagree with the statement that church attendance ‘never’ makes anyone more human. There are many people who benefit in small and great ways - from attending church, either from the message or simple good community.

I used to joke with my friends that we gays get a fruit basket when we recruit someone; And a toaster oven when the number reaches 10!

I don’t joke about recruiting anymore because there are really dumb people who would believe it. Sigh.

Allowing one party to control the media messaging is how we got this administration.

I met my partner working at a camp. Flag ceremony was 7:45 am. But if it was raining, no flag ceremony. We’d get an extra 15 glorious minutes.

That was over 20 years ago.

-most churches do much good for the community
