Wowser’s, what a month! As well as #GinADayMay, I’ve also undertaken a mammoth amount of judging and been to some truly amazing experiences and brilliants bars. I’m not sure how I managed to fit it all in but I’m mighty glad I did!

A (green) fairy tale β€” Drinksbiz Magazine β€” New Zealand's Premier Drinks Magazine One of the world’s most infamous spirits – absinthe – is flying high once again in the UK, says Sarah Miller ...

When the rest of the world was banning absinthe at the beginning of the 20th century the UK didn't bother. But we almost did at the turn of the 21st century!

My latest column for Drinksbiz is out now and it's all about the green fairy: tinyurl.com/346xpvvf

It’s Gin Monthly time and - despite February being the shortest month - it’s been a busy one, with closures, openings, fires and plenty of booze of course!

Given it’s a New Year, I thought I’d throw out an overdue (re)introduction.

Despite never envisaging this as a career, I’ve come a pretty long way in the last 10 years.

So with 2025 ahead I’m going to continue to make the most of the opportunities that come my way. It’s worked so far after all!

BrewDog in epic forest fail BrewDog CEO James Watt has confirmed that almost 100,000 saplings planted by the brewer in Scotland to sequester carbon have withered and died.

MCC cites @brewdogofficial.bsky.social's disastrous "lost forest" as proof of "sustainable" credentials. Presumably their revoked BCorp status, after an investigation into a toxic work culture, doesn't matter for official partners @homeofcricket.bsky.social www.thedrinksbusiness.com/2024/04/brew...

There are lots of glasses in this picture. They all contain an iced drink. They are all orange apart from one, which is bright yellow and the only one to have a garnish (a dried lemon wheel). There is text overlaid which reads: "Allora, time for a different spritz" and "brought to you by the colours πŸ’› and 🩡".
