If you’re looking for a thought provoking, intellectual show might I recommend Pantheon.
It’s not as visually striking as Scavengers Rain but an incredible show nonetheless. The second season in particular was amazing. It’s also completely finished.

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL OP SHOPS!!!!
If you have a free day this week call your op shop and ask if they need help with anything. Help move boxes or shelves around. Maybe take rubbish to the transfer station.
A lot of op shops are run entirely by volunteers so take an hour and help out your community.

Why do I consume caffeine in the evening like I don’t have to wake up and engage with society next morning?

My other favorites are Mob Psycho 100, Baccano, The Tatami Galaxy, Stein's Gate and Durarara.

I have so many but my all time favorite show has to be Gintama. I've never seen a show be so stupid but so sincere in its messaging. No other show I've watched has made me feel such a wide range of emotions. It's one of the few pieces of media I genuinely think about everyday.

Great idea! Though I'm rather curious as to what your Top 10 is straight up.

I’ve been thinking about Josiah Bancroft’s Books of Babel recently. I really should finish the series.

Rue Valley has actually got me interested. I’ll get around to playing it in a couple years.

I work in a restaurant in a very small town and interacting with the community is so fun. My social life just a couple years ago was nonexistent due to my crippling social anxiety, but now I genuinely love interacting with people. I’ve had so many good conversations over the past few days alone.

I had such a good day at work today. We got two large bookings at the same time which normally would be hell but all the customers were so sweet. They even cleaned up after themselves and moved the tables back.

A History Of The Silmarils In The Fifth Age [Spoiler warning for The Silmarillion] I. The Silmarillion describes the fate of the three Silmarils. Earendil kept one, and traveled with it through the sky, where it became the planet Venus. Maed…

I find that Pulp Fiction is so much more fun to watch if you subscribe to the fan theory that the briefcase contains Marsellus Wallace's soul. Or the absolutely deranged but fun theory that ties into The Lord of the Rings and Santa Claus (slatestarcodex.com/2017/12/26/a...).

A digital poster in the style of a World War II propaganda piece. Isolaed on a yellow background, a normal, squarish, 20-something guy with glasses is sitting working on a laptop. A ghostly figure of Hitler has his arm around the guy and is grinning and shaking a fist triumphantly looking at the laptop screen. On the lid of the laptop where an apple might otherwise be is an openAI logo, bright green, and dripping green ooze down the lid. Text on the poster, in combinations of sans-serif type and brush script reads:
Using Generative AI?
You’re prompting with Hitler!
GenAI is a Fascist Project!
Try using your brain instead
Don’t surrender your creativity to the tech billionaire’s control

A contrast of two worlds set atop a tower spire. The left is elegantly detailed with elvish artistry while the right looks crumbled and weathered. Drifting from the background left to right, smoke rises off onion domes of the city. As it crosses the spire, the smoke transforms to cloud cover. An elvish male stares off in the distance with his white cloak partially wrapping his arm and his spear pointed down over his knee. There is a green metallic sheen to his leg armor. He holds an ornate shield, pearlescent green at the edges and white at the center, decorated with glyphs bound in a pink circle. Kneeling next to him is an elvish female wearing a pink and purple cloak. Holding a slender sword in one hand, she grips the thin railing that sits low over architectural detail, broad white leaves. On the other side of the spire, a human female glances haughtily at the audience with a bow held out, braced on her hip. Kneeling next to her, a blonde bearded male with a snowy lock glances over. He rests his sword back on his shoulder while holding a simple wooden shield in his offhand. His pants are torn; her cloak is tattered. Their side of the tower is made of crude snow covered stone, underlining a different reality.

The cover art for the final installment of Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn, a terrific fantasy series by Tad Williams. The book spent five weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list and changed the landscape of publishing. 1/6

James Marsters is so freaking good in The Dresden Files. I would not have enjoyed the series nearly as much without him narrating.

Though to be fair both the Tencent version and the Benioff and Weiss version pale in comparison to the OFFICIAL, β€œThree Body Problem in Minecraft” animated series.

Guy Gavriel Kay is such an incredible author. It’s such a shame that he isn’t known much outside the sci-fantasy space. His books are so beautiful and melancholic.
Tigana and The Lions of Al-rassan are such good autumn reads.
