Also, please do get in touch if you come across hazards you think other walkers would benefit from knowing about. Our section volunteers walks their sections regularly but not relentlessly week in week out!

Inner London Ramblers - London Loop - Section 23: Flooding at Hornchurch Country Park
The official web site of the Inner London Ramblers.
Just a reminder that we keep our website updated with hazards, diversions, floods etc on the #LondonLoop #CapitalRing and #GreenChainWalk - especially in the winter months (although we donโt comment on regular mud, just because). Keep an eye-out here www.innerlondonramblers.org.uk/articles-623...

A field with green grass and scraggy lavender, not at all in bloom and a lovely... er, lavender colour. There is a barren tree in the middle of the field, and a row of trees in the distance. There are no people visible.
Went to the Mayfield Lavender Field (so fieldy the named it twice!)
Surprised at the lack of Instagrammers and Tiktokers out today. I heard they love this place.

I completed the LOOP with a work colleague when I retired - one section a month. I did get a sense of achievement when completed. Since then I have only cherry-picked parts of the route.
Good luck with the rest of the circuit, Greg. ๐๏ธ

When we started our project to update all the route guidance (and improve the waymarking etc) we had quite the debate about whether to go with the 15 or the 24!

Thanks to our local #CapitalRing volunteer and Friends of Horsenden Hill for their work to keep the route thru Paradise Fields, Greenford, open and dry via an ingenious โbeaver deceiverโ.

Photo showing a flower garden in a city park. The view is dominated by hanging willow branches in the foreground. Also in the foreground, is lined channel containing the Mutton Brook (which is out of sight). In the centre of the image, a dustbin guards a metalled path, and behind the path are shrubs, flowers and trees in a range of colours. We can only see a tiny piece of sky between the willow branches but it is blue with some clouds.
