I told myself that public protests & calling politicians had very limited value since it couldn’t result in change. This week I’ve changed my mind. This week I realized that mindset is part of ceding power- that there is a value in still protesting & doing all in our power to resist.

Since the election, I’d mostly felt sapped of power and motivation to react to political news. It felt so disheartening to realize that this time around people knew the truth and voted for a felon anyway. There’s no excuse of thinking maybe he won’t be as bad as he “jokes”.
