YEAH god exp candies were such a good addition to the series and I'm so glad they were added. I used to be into the battle tower stuff in the older gens and even just getting pokemon up to 50 to use in BT (even higher if you needed specific moves only learned at higher levels) was *hell*

no yeah honestly ur so real for that. i find grinding relaxing (To. A. Point) but the pokemon games are so absurd about it sometimes. also like. who cares if you want to use cheats go wild, play the game how ya enjoy it~

i'd super recommend checking out project moon's stuff! i've been obsessed with all of it since i got into lobotomy corporation a few years ago! the gameplay can be finicky a lot of the time, but the art and storytelling are more than worth it i think

Xenoblade Series was the first that came to mind, along with Project Moon's works (Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina, and LImbus Company), and Ultrakill! Would second the commenter on Code:Vein though, I liked the music when I played a while back!
