FOR MAIN SERIES OF COURSE. ill never speak ill of u pokemon channel and colosseum. i also think its kinda why the pkmn mobile games have worked so well esp pkmn go - it feels like a natural evolution (ha) of where the series began. go on a walk and catch a bug

i think itd b a shame for a series so rooted in connection, collaboration, exploration, curiousity and play to be pushed onto a home console experience

i do think its really telling that a lot of pokemon fan games/projects still use the pixel art even down to MAKING new pixels for the ones missing them. obv its also an ease of not having to work in 3d thing too but. damn it just hits

and while u can ofc play with others on a home console. the portability of a handheld and the ease and speed of connection with others are so like. inherent to what makes those games WORK and STICK with ppl. down to the design elements built to ENCOURAGE trading w others

i think for main series titles. it doesnt work as well!! pkmn was MADE for handhelds QUITE LITERALLY with the ideas that creates the games being
1. taijiris childhood playing outside, exploring and collecting bugs
2. the gameboy link cable allowing sharing and interaction with others

hold on can i extrapolate on this too as pokemonguy5000 or whatever. w the switch/switch 2 and nintendo not having a dedicated Handheld and pkmn main titles being pushed into smthn more fitting of a home console release over time. and while i LOVE many of those later games and the console spinoffs

OH IF ITS WARFRAMES THATS EVEN EASIER theyre mainly People Shape with Stuff on them. start w the big simpler shapes/sihouette and then worry abt all the lil bits and bobs (⁠◠⁠ᴥ⁠◕⁠ʋ⁠)
