I'm 62, and I will be homeless from next Monday. Not looking forward to sleeping in my car.

Thank you so much - it wouldn’t be my first choice but it definitely is attractive. I’ll keep looking locally for a week but after that I will certainly give it a hard go. Are you aware of the vacancy rate?

I’m skeptical of climate researchers using economic terminology that not even economists understand 😉. How about we just stop using fossil fuels and care for habitat and country generally. Within those parameters, and as long as we distribute wealth fairly, we get to do whatever we want.

So The Age has churned out "special series" on exclusive men's clubs, then private golf clubs, now restaurant tycoons. All suitably fawning over supposed powerful elites. Tell you what, why not just save time and do one called "Rich arseholes, and why we suck up to them".🙄

Cuba oil refinery fire hits as fuel crisis deepens The fire, which Cuban officials say was contained quickly, comes as electricity and fuel supplies dwindle.

www.bbc.com/news/article...
“No-one was injured and an investigation into the blaze has been set up, Cuba's energy ministry said in a post on X. The fire occurred close to where two oil tankers were moored in Havana Bay.”

This may have been an accident, but the timing makes it suspicious
