Combining the interests of Victorian architecture, train geekery, local events and dancing like it’s 1999, we had a blast at the Silent Disco in the Crystal Palace Subway last night ….

Well that @humanists.uk event at The British Library was immensely enjoyable. The new book’s contributor list looks like a dream dinner party list…Tim Minchin, Sandi Toksvig, Paul Sinha, Stephen Fry, Dan Snow, Helen Czerski, Alice Roberts and slightly less expectedly, Frank Turner and Janet Ellis

Infographic on neglect dyslexia. The text say: This can involve consistent letter omission, additions, and substitution errors on either the left or right side of a word reading individual words. 61% of people who had a stroke have more difficulties with reading then people of a similar age who had not had a stroke. Treatment can include: sounding out letters phonetically, using technology, speech and language therapy. For example, a word-level reading error (if the left side of your vision was affected) could mean that you read the word "blend" as "lend". There is a picture of an older gentleman sitting in an armchair with a hot drink. It also shows a notebook with part of the text blurred.

Reading difficulties after a stroke are common. One type is neglect dyslexia. People misread words because they are not aware of the first or last letters of the word. Read more: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20714712/ Infographic by Bella Belbali

Ah damn, the last time my mate invited me to come see you I couldn’t make it… and now you are clashing with both Sandi Toksvig at the Royal Albert Hall and with and Gallifrey Cabaret. It’s a very popular night for cool stuff.

Hearing about L1 psychological support at #UKSF24.

Hearing lived experience - β€œgood psychological support lifts me up a bit, helps me to thrive. Bad psychological support can knock me down miles.”

Words have a profound impact +everyone should have L1 Psych Support Training.

They put on a great show. If you can also get to see them outside in summer. For me their track A-Punk is the epitome of standing in the long grass, drink in hand, sun going down on a long hit summer day kinda vibe. Enjoy

Inspiring to hear about a wide range of improvement projects at the Bart’s Therapies cross site Clinical Effectiveness afternoon today. Packed agenda, included Frankie and Poppy from our TH Community Neuro team, here with their development of a new #FND pathway. Lots to build on and share.

So where can I learn how to use PRPP? In the UK, we now have our first trainers: www.prpp-uk.com The next course starts tomorrow so you are too late for that, but keep an eye out for more courses in the UK, as well as Australia, Canada, Scandinanvia. I did my intervention course in Switzerland...

Yes the OT/PT/SLT community seem a little slower to join than psychology/neuropsychology/neuroscience/medicine and stroke/TBI seem to be slower than other areas I have connections to like FND and HIV

Reposting this thread about PRPP as I know we are getting new arrivals every day. It’s a fantastic, ecologically valid tool for OTs to support their behavioural observation analysis, based on task analysis with both assessment and intervention arms. Take a look Oats…

Hi I’m Will and I manage an acute neuro rehab project at Kings in London called RAAR. I turned 59 last week and my team threw me a Dinosaur themed cheese lunch (because of the team name RAAR! And because I live near the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs #OtChat
