Himeka's resolute about not returning to wrestling. She could imagine herself working as a mentor, but really seems to dislike how shitty people are on social media and in general (understandable) and would rather stay out of the public. Komomo Minami looked super nervous when she did her first ring post dive maybe two months ago, now she's absolutely psyched to jump off a bus

The bus dive is funnier in context because Mayu just runs off while everyone else is in the ring and her teammates look over like "What the hell is this woman doing"

That was good fun. CHIAKI's still a heel who plays dirty, but she's expanded her moveset to where she's almost a powerhouse who can compete with Utami.

Chanyota's wrestling regularly for the first time in her career. Still usually needs time to warm up and varies depending on the opponent, had both the worst and one of the best matches on day 1. Can't imagine her having a bad one against Misa Matsui.

Dream Star Day 2 VOD is up. These shows aren't loaded with GP matches until the end of August really, but today we also get a bus diving contest in the main event.

One of the fun things about Utami/Takumi is you now have stats like "Two women in Japan just had a single match that was longer than all the AEW women's matches over the past two weeks combined"

So Himeka didn't just facilitate Mai joining Stardom, they've been hanging out ever since and Himeka's still her secret (OK not so secret any more) advice giver. This reads like Mai credits her for her career success at least as much as Giulia.

Yeah most likely, Syuri aside they're the only ones who had any presence in AEW this year I think. It's not like there's much time to introduce anyone else to the audience.

I think I'd actually prefer Momo Kohgo because at least she hasn't wrestled Moné already, plus the CMLL experience.
