Tonight I typed "The End" on my new novella. I haven't done that in longer than I care to say. I'll be looking for some beta readers very soon, so if anyone's interested, hit me up. Also, title and cover reveal coming within the next few days.

I haven't written anything since January. I won't get into why, but today I continued a project I started at the beginning of the year and wrote 2500 words. Feels good to be back behind the laptop.

Though I've been a fan for about 30 years, I somehow never got around to reading this book. I just finishednit and all I can say is it is one of his best. Ramsey Campbell is truly a master of horror.

It's getting really muggy out today. I got mugged 4 times already.

My youngest granddaughter paid me a visit from Ottawa today. Is it just me, or does she seem a little unsure about her grandpa?

Best Father's Day gift ever!

I've been sitting on the deck all afternoon reading Lord of the Feast by @timwaggoner.bsky.social , and I was so engrossed in the story, before I knew it, it was starting to get dark and I'm 220 pages in. What a fantastic book!

Had a visit from my youngest granddaughter yesterday. What a little angel!

So...washed my bedsheets today, and when I put them back onto the bed, I got the fitted sheet the right way on the first try. That was the highlight of my weekend. I think I need to get out more.

It's been a long day, so I'm relaxing this evening by watching a debate. Because, you know, it's a non-stop party at my house.

Can't wait for the Tyson/Paul fight to be over so I can stop hearing about it. I'm not a fight fan and even if I was, I couldn't bring myself to care who wins. They're both clowns.

About to head to Ottawa to meet my new granddaughter. So excited!
