Oh totally, I didn't necessary mean "they shouldn't have made an open world", the designed world looks amazing. I was hoping that whatever they somewhat tweaked in REengine for DD2 in the later patches, could've potentially helped MHW release performance. But that just talking as a fan of the game.

I legit hoped that the lessons learned from DD2 and BIG OPEN SPACES would've moved on to MHW :( I know different teams yadda yadda... perhaps they didn't have much time for knowledge exchange internally

A fantastic piece on FFXVI's approach to localization! I found it interesting how they handled item descriptions: As you can see, most languages followed EN, while FR basically rewrote the entire description and added a detail about the item being auto-used only while on quick access
