every time i make a mistake at work, i'm always like, "is the ASM gonna crucify me over this simple mistake or is he gonna be reasonable about it?"

because, often, it's the former

and he's always joked that we shouldn't trust him, and i'm starting to think he's not joking

really only being interested in using that authority to hurt rather than help people, and not knowing how to set healthy boundaries with themselves and others so they try to appear buddy buddy while being mad/annoyed that people aren’t making the choices they want them to/demand that they make

the ASM at my job does what i mentioned in the first skeet, and i’m always like, “why not just say you want people to do xyz for abc reasons and leave it like that?”

i think this also has a lot to do with people, particularly men in positions of power wanting to have authority over others while

i think this is why people often take whenever I’m like “these are your options. you decide” as though i’m trying to force or manipulate them into making the “right” decision or saying the “right” thing despite the fact that i am not

something interesting that’s happened to me more often on Long Island is that when a person is like “do this but if you do that then that’s okay too” and if you do “that” then they treat you like you’re being defiant, rude, disrespectful, etc.

this happens the more conservative a person is i find

Someone who can help will see this.

At some point I will stop screaming at the void to see that someone has helped.
