So I don’t share any of the spicy 🌶️ pics I draw… I mainly draw them as drawing exercises, since I find it very hard to draw this stuff… but I actually think these drawings came out really well.

I’ve been working on some personal life stuff and have been very busy.

And just for interest, let's see how Cambridge, where I am from in the UK compared.
(Cambridge will be more unaffordable, since it is one of the most expensive cities in the UK - but let's have a look anyway)

When I say I'd like to live in New Zealand, I am always told "but it's so expensive"

I find it interesting then when running a cost of living comparison between where I live now in Manchester* and three of New Zealand's biggest cities, that NZ still comes out cheaper.

*I don't live in MCR "city"

Every time someone knocks on the door, our demon… I mean cat, Gremlin (yes that is her actual name) has to come rushing to see what it is all about. Normally looking mortified.

I'm so tired.

I've agreed to work one of my days off this week.
I really don't want to... But I only have £6 in my bank account.

Just saw this slow moving star wander across the sky when I was randomly out in the garden.
Thought it was a plane at first, till my little brain suddenly realised it was the ISS.

And I was very excited! I've never seen it fly over before.

If you didn't see it before, this is a little personal #comic I had been working on giving a sort of rambly explanation why I'd like to move from the #UK to #NewZealand.

This is a little personal comic I’ve been working on.
I’ve been working on a version of this for quite some time.
I sort of want to explain my want to escape the UK and why I’d like to move to New Zealand, even though it is extremely unlikely to happen.

Yeah I love the look of the west of Canada.
British Columbia looks incredible.

I also liked the look of the Maritimes.
Anything with large natural beauty haha!

I know I wouldn't like Toronto, Calgary or any other large city to live in.
Visiting is fine.

That's interesting to hear.
I wonder how much of it is because I see it everyday.

Nature plays a part for me. We've built on a lot of our nature, and have a tendency to cluster everything close together. So it's rare to see anything but houses and concrete sometimes.

That makes sense. Canada is really big (duh) and was populated at different times, so having different housing styles makes sense.

A lot of the UK looks the same.
You nornally can tell where you are by brick colour. But most our housing stock was built in the last 100 years, so looks the same.

I mean, some people do actually live in these pretty places in the UK.
But most of us don't.

I like looking at towns to live in other countries. Like Canada, New Zealand or Sweden. They always look really pretty.
But I wonder, is it like looking at the UK & seeing places like the Cotswolds or Edinburgh & thinking we all live there? When in reality we all live in some dingy housing estate.

Oh yeah! Specially some of those Swiss Alps train vids. They are stunning!

Yeah, I try and watch some of these slow life vids as inspiration. Try and remind myself not to be so busy and frantic all the time.

I used to make videos like this myself.
All the way back in 2007 and 08.
I would hold my little digital camera up as I rode passenger and film the journey.

The quality was terrible and they were very shaky!

I like watching POV driving videos, mostly from other countries.
My favourites are Canada and New Zealand. These places are spectacular with their scenery.

And as a professional driver, I won't lie when I say how EASY it looks to drive there.
It's the dream!
