26.10.2025 22:11 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Brind’Amour’s idea of an extended period is typically way shorter than everyone else’s, so I’ll reserve judgment
24.10.2025 13:43 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Pretty durable ever since!
24.10.2025 01:54 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0That should say more than one D or as many as two
24.10.2025 01:53 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0If you count Gardiner as retired in 22/23, the Canes had precisely *one* regular season game with more than two D out injured/ill in the 22/23, 23/24 and 24/25 seasons (Game 80 in 23/24, Chatfield and Pesce)
Did happen three more times in the 24/25 playoffs
First time the Canes have had three defensemen missing to injury/illness since Game 59 of the 21/22 season (DeAngelo, Gardiner, Smith)

23.10.2025 20:40 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Streit also the *only* other Islander to do that since 2000/01 (if you also count Kevin Haller as already “retired” in 2002/03)
So not among Rick DiPietro’s pre-buyout achievements, perhaps contrary to expectations
Pierre Engvall would be the first Islander to miss a full season to injury since Mark Streit in 2010/11 (if you count Mikhail Grabovski as already “retired” in 2016/17)
22.10.2025 19:45 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Season timeline view of player injury history for Mark Stone.
Player injury history timeline views progressed far enough to be able to show that Mark Stone has:
(a) Missed (only) two playoff R2 G5s twelve years apart
(b) Missed regular season Game 82 on four occasions (two followed by not making the playoffs, two followed by...something else)
I don’t know much but “team without an injury for a while will probably get an injury soon” (or two days ago) is pretty reliable
19.10.2025 00:00 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0He was probably the bubbliest of all the bubble cases. If he stays up when healthy, then I’ll change it.
