I base my Matches costume off of the tv show version of match (as it was my first introduction to him) but his personality and coldness is based off of his 1998 counterpart (i just love the all white aesthetic) I also draw Match with longer hair as i head cannon that after leaving the agenda Kon tries to push him into self-discovery (like he did following leaving CADMUS) but Match is far more apathetic to the concept so baby steps (and a cool jacket) (same reason i draw Match with makeup or eyeliner as it is Kons way of trying to get Match to branch out in his personal expression (and having someone to practice Makeup on who is identical to you is very convenient))

A digital illustration with the draw a fanart of a character canon vs headcannon meme template, using Kon-el (superboy) the main differences are the colour palletes (i prefer very warm tones for Kon) I draw Kon with a darker skin tone due to his having lived in Hawaii for at least a year and I headcannon that Kryptonians tan easily due to the whole 'powered by the sun' thing, another big difference is the silhouette and cut of his jacket I draw Kons jacket more cropped (ending around his ribs) and with a sharp collar with spikes on his shoulders (plus pins sometimes but i kept it simple for this one) I also draw kon wider and more built than he is depicted in his 1998 comic because I like variety in my silhouettes and shapes when it comes to groups so it makes Kon stand out amongst Young justice as well as making sense for his character (I do still draw him shorter and smaller than Superman but amoung his peers he is pretty large)
