i just saw an ad for an NHL game on the tv and all i could think about was @beabonnet.bsky.social 's new ofmd fic (slapshot)... patiently waiting for the new chapter. 🙏🏻

i didn’t want to rain on everyone’s parade yesterday. i couldn’t quite bring myself to celebrate even though i love ofmd more than anything. mostly i bad to back off bc i got so demoralized by how being in fandom (and the world tbf) means just putting up with almost constant Racist Background Noise

oh that must be incredibly frustrating... some people are probably in denial and their white fragility gets in the way of them actually making a change and being a real ally. when someone tells you you're being racist, YOU NEED TO LISTEN AND DO BETTER! i wish you didn't have to fear speaking up. :(
