Donald Trump is using federal agents to stoke fear and violate constitutional rights — all with the aims of expanding his control and sending military troops to our cities.

It’s unlawful and un-American. We must all stand up and speak out against fanning the flames of violence.

Journalist Edward R. Murrow used his platform on CBS to criticize the witch hunts led by Senator Joseph McCarthy in the 1950s.

This is what real journalism should do — hold power to account, not capitulate to it.

I can’t get over this. Trump bailed out Argentina farmers with $20 billion of our tax dollars, then China turned around and bought soybeans from them instead of US farmers.

I knew they’d come for the archivists and librarians but honestly I assumed it would be for a reason better than “Our Special Boy wants to give his friend a sword! Give him a sword!”

We need to stop referring to the actions of Donald Trump and his administration as childish games. Doing so minimizes and therefore diminishes what they’re actually doing.

Targeting political rivals and viewing opposition as enemies is fascism and there’s nothing childish about it.

I spoke to a Venezuelan woman who was arrested in this raid and later released with her 4yo son. She said agents broke down their door, pointed guns at them and made sexualized remarks about Venezuelan women. When she returned to her apartment it was boarded up and all her possessions were gone.

It’s almost as if those of us in the media told you so.
