As the batteries finish changing using Octopus Flux, then the heat pumps switch on to warm homes before people get up. Homes are warmed using electricity before the peak. Peak use of electricity. People using these tariffs ware unlikely to use grid electricity at this time. Homes are warmed using electricity before the batteries (using Flux) and the EVs (using Go) are charged.

While researching the different Octopus Energy tariffs I realised that they were being really clever. Generally, electricity for charging batteries and EVs are at a different time to the electricity used for heat pumps. Neat, tidy, clever. I assume other providers are doing something similar.
