It's 2025 and I'm still sending code over email.

I have been having exactly that feeling! I was going to ask about it. What I can say is that it seems to be using less energy, so perhaps it was a way to claw back some efficiency. I think it is worth investigating.

The medical system in the US is fraudulent. Please recognize this. You go in for a procedure and pay an amount for it. Then you get a bill that it was more. Then you get another bill that it was even more still. Imagine buying something at a store only to get a bill later that you owe more. wtf?

Dude, the changes to the suspension are substantial! I could immediately feel a huge difference. It just eats up lumps and bumps. While I can still hear it working, I no longer feel it in the seat. It's like riding on clouds.

I have a great story about it. I was going though Atlanta to visit my sister in a suburb to the south just after rush hour. I was more than an hour away. The ETA it gave was 7:44. Fighting through brutal traffic and 2 reroutes, I arrived at 7:44. Simply uncanny.

One thing I can report is that the arrival time estimate has been frightening accurate, often down to the minute. I'll be interested to see if that remains true.

On my trip, I can attest to the fact that traffic data was often inaccurate, so I'm excited to see if it improves with Google Maps.

That's interesting. I wonder what the thinking was behind switching away from their own map software. I always thought it did a pretty great job.

Once again, the medical system in the US is absolutely failing me. I had stitches put in after an accident on vacation. I need to get them removed by a health care provider, but no one has availability for months. Urgent care really is the only option, but it's a crap shoot.

The improvements to the charging have been nothing short of stellar. I really appreciate Rivian putting in the effort to make these improvements.

After taking a 6,000mi trip with my Gen 2 R1S, I would give the autonomy platform a C+ in terms of performance. It's very helpful when it works, but it has a very long way to go to truly provide an autonomous experience.

The lock into and follow a lead vehicle is crucial for long road trips. I want to just have it follow a box truck wherever it goes. It increases efficiency, clears the path of bugs, and reduces visual distraction.

I cannot understand why the Rivian cannot stop at a traffic light if it's the first to the light. It can see the traffic light with its cameras. Why doesn't it stop?!?

I could care less about summon. I would never trust that.

I'm really looking for several additional features:

* Automatically adjust speed at speed limit changes on local roads (cops will snare you when using adaptive cruise control otherwise)
* Lock into and follow a lead vehicle
* Show speed of vehicles around me
* Don't randomly take away hands free

Same can be said for a human.

The adapter doesn't bother me as much as no plug and charge with Tesla membership.

QR codes to connect to a WiFi network is such an awesome feature of Android.

Rivian definitely addressed the charging problem with Gen 2. Holding 210 kW at 35% and beyond we could only dream of before.
