My cousin was murdered a year ago today, and yesterday, we FINALLY got news that someone has been charged.

Bittersweet and all, but the road to some kind of closure has started which I’m certainly thankful for. Especially so for my aunt and uncle.

I honestly don’t know if there is one. I’m certain folks could name tons of bands for themselves, but I don’t think there’s a single unifying band in the US that has the similar impact of The Tragically Hip and the people of Canada. Lightning in a bottle, y’know?

So it looks like I’ll be diving into EMDR therapy and I’m lowkey terrified.

Had my first consultation just to make sure I’m a good candidate, but I’m not sure I’m excited to unlock horrible childhood trauma.

Ugh, I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. It’s tough when you’re ready to get the help you need yet the system actively fights against you.

Step 1 is calling a therapist. Usually, it’s the hardest part of getting better. Acknowledging that you need help—then acting on it—can be a huge barrier.

Today, I completed step 1 (not the first time). I know I’ve got work ahead, but I already feel a smidge better.

Nice pace!! I’ll have to hit you up to join me for a run next time I’m in Warsaw!

You can run 6 days in a row and on day 7 your watch will tell you that you're a lazy piece of shit and you'd do society a favour by throwing yourself off a bridge.
