The question of whose responsibility is it to ensure senior researchers/professors (let alone ecrs!) have time to research & write is a big one. There are deep funding & structural issues (and I am referring much more broadly than my institution) and it's not about an individual's time management.

In my current role, which I love, I mostly enable research - from developing projects, building teams/ collabs, applying for funding, supervising... - but Im further away from doing research. To feed my nerdy soul AND to be able to do those things, I need to make more time for researching & writing.

I fiercely protected a few days in my calendar to actually have time to write. I was almost scared I don't know how anymore or that I wouldn't be able to get into the groove but it's happening and I'm loving it.

Siirtolaisuus kiinnostaa taas: amerikanserkut löysivät pikkuiseen Simoon, paikansivat juurensa ja ihastuivat pesäpalloon
Juuriaan Suomeen etsimään tullut ryhmä päätyi Meri-Lappiin. Vanhan museon pihapiirissä näki, millaisista oloista esivanhemmat lähtivät paremman elämän perään.
Siirtolaisuus kiinnostaa taas. Toteaa @samirasaramo.bsky.social Ylen jutussa.
