I honestly don't know how much a good mayor would even be able to do in Indianapolis given the state level politics. That said I am excited to see what wilson and mamdani will be able to do with the backing of blue state legislatures!

I think the assumption from planners is that no one will actually use the trail for commuting and that the use will be purely recreational. Given the surrounding land use, they're probably right.
