WARDEN by Ghost Spark Cinematic, Classless, Genre-Agnostic, d20 RPG

WARDEN is almost done, which is in many ways a modernized, alternative Pathfinder 2e, completely detached from the D&D Lineage. In various "What should Pathfinder 3e look like" threads, I've seen people wish for stuff that I have already implemented.

It's also a generic game ala GURPS or Genesys.

Version 0.3 of the WARDEN Playtest from @ghost-spark.itch.io is out and I made a piece of art for it of the merchant Yiska from one of the example settings in the back! It's a really cool genre-agnostic TTRPG with solid combat and character building rules and is free to check out right now

Fair enough honestly.

In a perfect world I would use B for everything. But this is not a perfect world.

Actually, to reiterate:

B is best used when you use shapes exclusively.

C is best used when you mix lines and shapes (Character sheets for me)

A is best when you have very specific specs for the feature inside.

B is the cleanest, C has its uses, A is rare for me.

I feel a great need to make a ttrpg character who wears an escoffion, you know, those two-horned things fine medieval ladies wore, sometimes with veils.

Kinda similar to hennin, the conical hats "fairytale princesses" have on their head.

Psychologicals are a little less permanent. If your Strain goes to 0, depending on the factor that caused it, you gain various conditions, one being a bad mental breakdown. This is removed after you rest though.

That is unless you're a Vampire that loses a part of their humanity, that's pretty bad.

I just went whole-hog with physicals. Drop to 0 --> You gain an Injury. If you would die, you can use metacurrency to instead gain a Grievous (Permanent) Injury.

Injuries lower your Maximum HP by 5, and have additional effects. Surgery and resting a long time are the only ways to heal them.

Okay so. I managed to get my #TTRPG Backerkit out, it's there, and it's already gotten pledges. Obviously, still a long road ahead.

But I'm just wondering what the hell am I gonna do now? Seek people who might want to talk about it? Do interviews? With whom?

Like, if you and your friends know about this game, you can, at any time, just say "The Zombies are at the door" and you all start scouting the surroundings for things to protect yourself, and ideas on how to get safe.

I like the fact that it gives a touch of childlike wonder to my daily life.

Like, it's such a simple premise, but what I love about it is that I've basically "restarted" the game I've been having today like a dozen times.

I multiclass a lot, and it's always just getting the right "image" of my character on paper. I generally do not design characters with a class in mind, so they will often end up as a mixture of many things.
