Literally it feels so antithetical to the whole point of the article that is being spread to be unwilling to pay 1 dollar to read it. You wanna read about how artists/writers didn't get paid while doing the exact thing being reported on.

Completely agreed. This has been one of the most disheartening things to read within the indie ttrpg space lately...

I also hope that this reputation follows PCGs as they try to continue on, so other artists/writers know better than to put their faith and time into them.

I completely agree that with those artists/writers works out all the awards this game has won should no longer be allotted or paraded around because it will not be the same game.

I feel SO betrayed as a long time fan of Jay Dragon's work-- I have nearly all their games save for Yazeba's and that's just cuz I been too broke lately but to see how this has all played out...It's appalling. I hope no good artists/writers work for them again wtf.

And then some of the other artists only getting around 300$ bucks are they absolutely off their fucking rocker?! The way the contracts were handled in this is so fucked and to have an ultimatum that feels like "either you let us fuck you this way or that way" is making my head spin.

This is so disgusting and disheartening. I admired Possum Creek Games for much the same reason the artists/writers involved in this did...To see them disrespect them SO profoundly. The arrogant nerve to offer only a one-time payment of 5k for rights in perpetuity OR have their work replaced...Gross.

Sometimes when I feel like my art is mid or trash I just think back to the me of 5 years ago or hell even 10 years ago and know that I would have been AMAZED to have art like I do now.

Sometimes it takes reflection to appreciate progress when you think you've stagnated.

He had his father help him and basically made a drawer and he tried to carve in the symbols on top to make the board itself and make the pieces and inside the drawer he also put other little gifts cuz it was for our first valentines. He even found a specific blue cuz I talked about ancient dyes lol

Thinking about how--When I first met my bf I told him I was lookin at ancient games for mechanics and in particular Senet cuz I love ancient egypt and he tried to make me a Senet board game/drawer to hold the pieces despite not being a crafter at all. It's one of my favourite gifts from him haha
