I don’t know… From an academic perspective it does have many telling ATU tale-types, and has some classic motifs, so my attention is definitely caught by it. I may have to get the ATU index out and see how many I can apply to it.

I finally decided to see what all the hype about ACoTaR is about. Having just studied fairy tales as part of my honours for my degree I’m applying a lot of what I’ve learned to my listen. Classic Beauty & the Beast trope to begin with.
