Controls would be sick! I feel like an interactive format would be SO good for showing how to make an engaging UI. I feel like there's a lot of sweet possibilities with Controls that a lot of devs don't know about; simply 'cause it feels so much different than working w/ the other node types (IMO).

While I will still probably ping-pong around between different art styles and themes for my games, I think it's kind of cool that I'm beginning to feel like I'm developing my own style as an artist I suppose!

After fiddling around with 2D and 3D art earlier in the year, I think I enjoy 3D a lot more. Especially the experimental side. Playing with textures, lighting, nodes, camera properties, render settings and all of that crazy stuff is a massive rabbit hole but it's just so much fun!

Happy 2026 y'all! πŸ₯³ Revisiting this post 358 days later... I feel like I met this goal I set for myself! In 2025 I released 2 games (FREE at lanemcmartin.itch.io !!!) both using 3D assets I made in Blender. Pretty proud of how far I've come since barely knowing any hotkeys!
