People who object to neighbors with a different culture or language sometimes are reported insisting they want to improve the neighborhood.

If they are sincere, they might improve their neighborhood by moving away.

And women in general whether married to them or not.

In Western arts over time cats could be included in paintings as symbolic of ideas of mystery or female sensuality. Black cats particularly were associated with witches (aka wise women who had skills in healing).
