I just want to quickly say, I am not pro planned economy. Planned economics in the sense of centralised planning is like early 20th Century borderline Lysenkoist nonsense.

Distributing decision making is good actually and does not require capitalism to function.

We can collaborate on making things work with other people, we can build great things through cooperation, without a "plan" laid out from on high. And in fact the ability to splinter into different groups working on different things is a necessary check against a singular plan being bad.

I don't really trust a legal system or a state or state-like policing system to go around deciding who is a fascist or not to be honest and provide physical resistance to fascist organising. It'd turn immediately into the Labour party have done proscribing a civil disobedience group as terrorists.

I think some form of the question "are we just attacking people for having shitty views or is this going somewhere" is really important and something that anti-fascists have asked themselves throughout history and been extremely careful about because anti-fascist resistance is self defence.

They can pretend they were just exercising their free speech (in a space that is clearly not free for others because secret police are kidnapping and killing people).

That declaring their love of the secret police wasn't a threat.

It's a real risk kicking the arse of that fascist. And necessary.

Socially enforced disincentives to violence maintain a general pressure to make better judgement calls about the difference between disagreeing with people and addressing fascists who play with liberal optics and appear not immediately violent, while organising violence and harm in the open.

I think the fact that violent resistance to fascists hasn't generally "gone too far" and turned into a runaway problem anywhere in history is partly down to the fact that when it's ad hoc and not an empowered function of state or pseudo state apparatus (like other forms of policing or vigilantism)..
