It’s not fetishizing to want to be understood. It’s not fetishizing to want to be safe. And it’s certainly not fetishizing if another trans person asks you if you’re trans in a safe environment.

Yes, if it’s a bigotry thing, I get that. If you want to be acknowledged as a woman and not a man because of bigotry, I get that. I’m talking about members of your own fucking community

I don’t know why it’s such a bad thing to say “trans woman” or “trans man” or to specify that someone isn’t cis. why are you so ashamed to the point of putting down other trans people for something that is integral to your identity?

It’s not a creep thing, it’s a safety thing.
It’s easier to be in relationships with trans people while being transgender because the other person usually understands your situation better and therefore isn’t going to maybe fucking murder you for being transgender.

And I’m gonna make a lot of people upset by saying this, but whatever, here we go: Yes, you’re a woman, no you’re not biologically a woman, being transgender is still part of your identity whether you like it or not.

Their argument was “if that’s the only thing you see me as, then you’re fetishizing me.” When literally almost no t4t person does that
