i had forgotten what elections feel like when it’s not extremely bleak. we should make good choices more often

Angeln is a peninsula in Germany.

It is thought that a group of Germans called ‘The Angles’ left that area to settle in Great Britain.

People started calling the place they settled ‘Angle-land.’

This morphed into ‘England.’

We now speak ‘English.’

This is a good reminder.

Grazing animals like goats and sheep have rectangular pupils.

As the animals raise and lower their heads to eat, their eyes automatically rotate so that their pupils remain parallel to the ground.

I read so many I lost count. I finished the Beechwood Harbor Magic series by Danielle Garrett, caught up with the Nightmare Arizona series by @bethdolgner.bsky.social, and several in the Familiar Kitten series by @sarabourgeois.bsky.social. It was a fantastic month of reading!

I had my last physical therapy appointment earlier, and not gonna lie, I cried a bit on my way home. I've spent 2 days a week with these guys for three months. I'm going to miss them! 🧡

I didn't know there was a remaster! I still play the original a couple of times a year. I'll be checking out your vid later this evening...I'm curious about it, now.

I haven't watched the show, but I love Cena. He holds the record for most wishes granted with Make-A-Wish. He seems like a genuinely good person and we need more people like that.

Unexpected and wonderful news! I thought it would be Summer 2026 at the earliest, so Dec-Jan is exciting.

This is where we get the 'sibling.'

Over time, it came to mean "close friend."
