The House Congressional Committee decided the Capitol was stormed as the culmination of a plan by Trump. It might be a clumsy edit but it isn't misleading on the core of the issue.

The English prince is portrayed as useless because he's gay (his portrayal is one of the most jaw-droppingly hateful things I've seen in a while). Since the evil English king won, it at least has that going for it.

Braveheart's also a trash film. Not only due to its excessive, almost nihilistic violence which epitomizes Mel Gibson's cruel, odious view of humanity, and its poor technical qualities (those battle scenes are a MESS). The Hollywood hero symbolically conquers England by fucking its queen. Gross.

It wasn't just Croat nationalists tbf. Serb nationalists also pushed it heavily in Bosnia. Basically they argued that as a 'constituent nation' in Bosnia they had the right to veto Bosnian independence (tho didn't think Croats/Muslims had the right to veto the country's partition).

It was rooted in a Stalinist time in understanding of nationality polity in the Soviet Union. The Badinter Commission and international community rightly ignored it when considering the dissolution of SFRY.

(Congrats on your PhD btw!)
