3) hämärä parlamentaarinen prosessi (ei aidosti parlamentaarinen?)

With good luck there's people who can troubleshoot or show some tricks how to do things. We have one bigger workshop with several machines, I've asked help and I've been asked to help, it's very supportive. Other places, there's just one machine in a corner, you get it done but not as fun 😅

For decades, Basketball Finland was run mostly on volunteer works done in small clubs. The visible success is for all of us, who spent all of freetime in junior competitions. Last week coach Tuovi shoutout Eurobasket Women '27 , Finland as co-host.

Basketball Finland's first ever Eurobasket medal (on any level) was last year U16 girls winning gold and this year silver. Men's team's success & group phaze in Tampere will for sure bring more juniors to the sport.

Here in Nordics we have a public library that has machines I book & use 😇 so if I would do a t-shirt (cotton jersey) I would use overlock/serger for seams, and then twin-needle on normal machine for finishings.
With super-stretchy material, I would use coverstitch machine for finishings.

For your question: I would immediately buy overlocker/serger, if I'd have any extra. I've used it for t-shirt materials, for super-stretchy leggings, for neat seam finishings on woven materials.

Sneak a peak to inside of bumbag, it is sort of green-ish colour, I think this colour was called "petrol" or something smilar. There is extra, small snap hook inside, where to attach keys into. I wasn't skilled enough to improvise a tiny pocket, as I was rushing this in very little time.

Look at the backside of bumbag; how strap webbing is connected to snap hooks that connect to D-rings that connect to... (in my head there is the skeleton dance song now...)

One more #sewing project for this week, and then I'm off of sewing for at least a month.

Photo when blue fabric was laying flat on a floor to be cut according to the pattern. (In photo are also classic orange colour Fiskars fabric scissors.) It's clever pattern that uses the whole fabric that is in 2 layers, every corner and extra bit is used inside the finished coat.

It's finished, at least with the #sewing machine, I will do buttons as my evening chore next week.

Optimatium from Tauko9 has now funny square pockets and added bust darts. It's missing buttons&holes, cuff frills, ironing & finishing.

I have this week for sewing, then it's 3 weeks of busy times, so it's probably a month before I get to do sewing again.

Bit fuzzy photo of a garment laying on a floor. Garment is blue linen-cotton mix fabric, it starts to look like a duster coat even tho it's missing sideseams and lot of details. What's visible is pleats on front part, inverted pleat at backpart where seams are finished with bias binding, and then clever collar that needs handstitching.

It's halfway done Optimatium duster coat by Liz Haywood from Tauko issue 9. My first try at #zerowastesewing oh man, this is clever pattern!

Hallitus teki sillee tymästi että lisäsi naisten työttömyyttä. Tai sit ne teki sen tahallaan.
Suojaosan poistumisen jälkeen osa-aikaisen työn tekeminen naisilla on vähentynyt ja kokoaikainen työttömyys kasvanut.
Naisten osuus työttömistä on kasvanut viisi prosenttiyksikköä 2024 alusta lähtien.
