At the time of reporting, I have confirmed that at least five trans authors have had their work outright removed from the platform.

🚨🚨🚨 BREAKING: In a dangerous evening escalation of the anti-porn war on the gaming industry, indie platform @itch.io has banned a number of NSFW titles and delisted thousands of others.

Trans authors are caught in the crossfire.

MasterCard, Visa, and anti-porn group Collective Shout drove the ban.

Ainsi, Steam et Itch ont tout les deux plier le genoux.

Steam à mis à jour ses TOS pour ne plus accepter les contenus NSFW, et Itch à, pour citer leur communiqué, "déindexé" énormément de jeux pour faire le tri.
Avec aucune communication avant ce matin à 9h.

Mastercard, Visa, et Paypal étant les trois grands processeurs de transactions, ni Steam ni Itch ne peut (en l'état des choses) se passer d'eux.
La seul alternative sérieuse serait apparemment la société Française CB, mais celle-ci est quand même bien trop petite pour être un remplacement.

La raison donnée est la vente de contenu Pédo pornographique, mais ce genre de contenu est évidemment déjà interdit et activement réprimé sur les deux sites.

A la place, c'est tout le contenu NSFW, et par extension Queer, qui est visé par ce groupe de pression et ces sociétés de paiements.

Tout commence avec un groupe de pression politique Australien, Collective Shout, ayant contacté les société de procession de paiement Mastercard, Visa, et Paypal (1000 appel en tout de ce qu'on dit), pour leur demander de ne plus soutenir Steam et Itch.

Il ne fait aucun doute que beaucoup voit passer des post se plaignant que @itch.io ait shadow ban des milliers de jeux indé de leur plateforme, et ce peu de temps après un changement des TOS de @steampowered.com . Je vais essayer de faire un résumé complet de ce qui se passe:
