last time i had this problem, the jump drive was still on the quantum... did not show in inventory because while the quantum was not being used, the jump was "merged" with it... but putting the quantum drive back on while i still had no jump on the ship, the jump drive came back, and was removeable

this has worked for me in the past anyhew, when I forgot to take the jump drive off first

if it had one, and you removed the quantum... replacing with the old quantum should bring it back.. might have to reload screens
