Oh no! We've somehow ceded Waterford, Kilkenny, Wexford and Carlow to the Brits.

That is the point, but it's dangerous to assume the likes of Lowry or MHR won't twist and turn every which way to make this work for them. Realistically, what would the consequences be for Lowry if he votes against the govt?

They're registered members of one of the parties in government, so there's at least a delineation there. They could leave FFG and go into opposition but still vote exclusively with the govt. That's just a confidence and supply arrangement, which is nothing new in Irish politics.
