Let me know what you'd like to see in a Relationship map made for RPGs
The great Stephen Fabian is one of those artists from the 2E era of AD&D that just doesnโt get enough credit or attention. His interior illustrations in the Ravenloft line and Tome of Magic especially stand out. Pitch perfect aestheticโฆ and what an amazing talent. Pure ๐ฏ.

I want visibility controls because dumping a whole lot NPCs in a map can be confusing for players, but adding all the details is better done ahead of time. Also, people can have secret relationships which is always fun!
16.05.2025 10:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm building a relationship mapping tool for rpgs. I'm still doing basic prototyping, so it won't look much like this in the end. Today I got visibility working. The GM will always be able to see everything, but you can hide nodes from individual players.

I currently use kumu.io for relationship maps. Does anyone here use a different digital tool they would recommend?
13.04.2025 12:35 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I really like relationship maps for rpgs, like those found in Vampire 5e and similar games. I havenโt found a tool online that suits me perfectly though, so Iโm building one myself.
Hopefully I can show off the basics in a week or two.
It time for another #SelfPromoSaturday! I'm Chuck and I contribute maps and writing on a free 5e setting over at dromaria.com, a world built on the conflict between mortals and dragons! Homebrew races, classes, spells, backgrounds and more! #ttrpg #ttrpgcommunity

After my "Making TTRPGs on a shoestring budget" talk at Terminal City Tabletop Con, several people have reached out asking if they could get a copy of it.
So I've decided to publish my script and slides on my website!

But itโs time to build something new. Any ideas? What would make running your games easier at the table, or during prep?
If youโre only interested in #1s, then www.hawes.com/no1_f_t.htm will work
15.01.2025 08:58 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I havenโt found a proper database. If you canโt find one, then the PDFs on www.hawes.com are kinda searchable.
Just plug site:https://www.hawes.com/ and your search term into Google and if the book is there it will show up.
Good luck

Twenty years ago, my answer would probably be Nobilis. These days there are so many pretty rpgs to choose from. My question was prompted by the recent arrival of Swyvers and The Stygian Library ๐คฉ
