I would play the hell out of a TTRPG inspired by the Great British Bake Off where you get to sabotage the other bakers and like, I dunno, Stealth roll to replace their baking soda with cocaine.

Yeah. There's tons of 80s-90s third party content that is almost impossible to find anymore.

We don't always play in a private room, but if we're in the common space, we do ask our table to be mindful of getting too loud.

Admittedly, we have a good working relationship with the coffee shop owners, who are D&D nerds themselves.

They ask us to reserve a table, and we have a policy that everybody needs to order once every 2 hours that we're taking up space.

53. I told you to toot and some of you still aren't tooting, so Imma need you to fix that. Here's a script:

"Hey, I made [this TTRPG thing], it's really cool, and Wobble said I should tell you to download/buy/use it."

52. We should probably tell people how long we expect a campaign to take.

"I want this campaign to last years and years" is a lot bigger commitment than "So this should take 6-8 weeks to play this story to its end."

50. Take people seriously when they tell you something at your game table is making them uncomfortable.

49. A map scribbled on notebook paper and a pack of M&Ms to use as minis is a really underrated TTRPG experience.

48. If you're doing video content in the TTRPG space, a good mic will benefit your work much more than a good camera.

People forgive bad video (and often are just listening while doing something else in another tab) but good audio always wins.

47. Your D&D DM Tips YouTube channel needs something to make it stand out from the 10,000 other D&D DM Tips YouTube channels.

A new perspective, format, gimmick, or approach will take you much further than parroting what everyone else is doing.

46. Long-term preservation of TTRPG content is a massively overlooked issue.

45. Itch or Patreon or DTRPG or Kofi or a social media account (ever here on Bsky) isn't a replacement for your own website.

Have a space you own so you aren't wiped off the Internet when other places get nuked.

44. Some smaller TTRPG Discord communities would probably benefit from merging into a single larger space.

43. Most people aren't looking at those Discord self-promo channels. We gotta look at them, click the links, and see the cool shit our people are doing.

42. Cheetos are the most chaotic evil TTRPG snack and are a valid reason for flipping the table and starting a brawl in the middle of the game room.

Uhhhh. Rolling dice makes you sexy as hell.

41. Funky mechanics are cool as hell. Weird dice, cards, Jenga towers. Somebody make a TTRPG that involves real-world slingshots or axe throwing as a resolution mechanic.

39. It's cool that you have a group of bearded white guys you've been playing with for decades.

It's cooler if you all scooch on over, get cozy, and invite some marginalized folks into your group too.

38b. Psst. You don't lose TTRPG purity cred if you play card games, board games, or videogames when someone is missing or peeps aren't feeling it.

Being an active part of a group of people who do cool shit together is more important than only ever doing TTRPGs.

We played it last night and it's an awesome game to have on hand when someone in the game group can't make it.

37. Sharing a meal together is a valuable, often overlooked aspect of TTRPGs. Even online games can benefit from some time before or after game where everyone just eats and talks.

36. APs are entertainment-first media, designed for an audience.

Turning on a camera doesn't immediately turn your home game into an AP production, even if you post it online.
