I did some traveling on Amtrak this past week, it was horrible - people are the worst.

Here in the US, politicians - specifically Republicans - are cowards who find it easier to go along then take a stand. I had hoped European leaders were more willing to take a stand. Not doing so is a mistake.

What the Ukrainians have been able to do over the past few years is truly remarkable. Putin is beginning to panic, the desperation is growing.

The GOP is dead. Evoking the political ghosts of the past feels good, but it's not going to fix the rot that is at the heart of the party. You and your ilk were given a chance to lead, to act morally ... and you failed. Anyhow, big fan! Keep up the good work.

It's remarkable that people like Musk are so intensionally myopic. They have so many resources - money, time, access to experts - but they refuse to make proper use of any of it. Their egos can't allow it.

Amarillo is an interesting campaign stop. Large farming/ranching interests, a large number of government employees (Pantex), and they're generally ignored by the state's political establishment. Lots of resentment nowadays ... stir the pot! Remind them how they're treated by Trump & Abbott.

I'm not surprised given the enshitification of television over the last 40 years ... "reality" shows, conspiracy culture, the wave of anti-intellectualism, and evangelical Christian-nationalism culminating in the rise of the far right/fascists.
