iOS 18.6 patches 12 WebKit vulnerabilities. Since Apple requires all browsers on iOS and iPadOS to use WebKit, these CVEs affect Safari and all browsers. Individual browser patches aren't possible since Apple updates WebKit alongside the OS. (iOS 18.5 was released 79 days ago)

🚨PSA: Just tested the Onion Browser and several Tor browsers for iOS and they all leak the real IP address when tapping on the share option.

WORKAROUND: Don't use the share button. Instead, copy URLs manually.

I LOVE how @mysk.bsky.social thought of every little detail based on evidence from their research over the years. It's attention to detail like this that truly makes Psylo a step above the rest for privacy & security.

Psylo deliberately doesn’t offer a share feature due to a privacy issue in iOS’s share feature: it generates a link preview of the website you’re sharing using your IP address, which bypasses Psylo’s tracking protection. You can tap and hold the address bar to copy the address.

That doesn't seem to be purely intentional by TikTok. A few days after releasing Psylo, an ad for Perplexity started to show up when you search for Psylo, it is highly unlikely that Perplexity had added "Psylo" as a keyword to their ad campaign:

Just one day after the launch of Psylo, a large-scale study was published revealing strong evidence of browser fingerprinting for ad tracking and targeting—the very issue that Psylo aims to protect against.
