I'm so glad to have full 60 FPS return. The closest we got was Gen 5, which was 60 FPS in battles and some menus. It makes everything feel way more responsive and fluid.

1 more thing about The Lion King remake, which I don't see brought up at all is how, after Mufasa dies, they don't play Mufasa's theme until Scar appears. It makes no sense, and it robs the scene of most of the remaining emotions, after the animation. Maybe they did it purposely to make it less sad?

This movie poster made people expect The Lion King remake would look way more colorful than it did. It looks close to the original movie. The 2nd image is what it actually looks like. It's just way less interesting. Audiences are now wiser and more discerning.

Tell me which of these fast-food toys kids find more appealing, and it'll explain why The Lion King's remake only had short-lived success. Hint: it's the ones with bright colors. This is why Mufasa should have based itself on the original designs, even if it had to be CG. At least they emote now.

Making visual effects is often a thankless job. If done well, the public doesn’t notice that it even is CG. If the results are less than desirable, people blame the CG artists. The exception would be in animated movies or if the effect is supposed to look stylized.

People are being overly critical of Wish. DIsney hasn't made a classic fairy tale since Tangled. They are out of practice. The story has some interesting concepts and a fun villain. It's akin to Sleeping Beauty, a gorgeous movie with a script that could use some rewrites and music that is secondary.

Disney Animation Studios is the same way. A lot of their concept art and storyboards get thrown in the trash.
