I wonder if you can buy app store reviews as well? I've seen Elon bragging about having such a great score, but... how easily is that metric gamed? Does anyone run deep analysis to figure out if those metrics are authentic? Can you just pay a black market service to stack your reviews?

Saw Elon complaining about apple app store positioning for his apps. Does anyone know if you can buy black market services to pump your apps up? Given that we know he's willing to cheat in other domains, should we really put it past him to be willing to cheat on this metric?

It's like you have a codebase, and some guys keep arguing: we should do object oriented programming while the others argue for functional programming. But they never actually look at the codebase.

In political and popular economic discourse there are a lot of anchor terms which seem to reduce the ability to think clearly about the domain. But in reality these terms are usually fictions that present a very low resolution image of reality. Arguing from that perspective tends to be ineffective.

I gave GPT-5 a grid word search puzzle and it found 4 correct results. When I asked it to find the remaining words it thought for a few minutes until the request failed.

Sometimes you have to enjoy the simple delights. There's something so satisfying about peeling away dried paint from a mixing board after finishing a painting.

It feels like we already lived through the golden age of frontend web development, and a lot of public discussion has died down or disappeared to places I haven't found. I recently saw an anime that was using AI tools to generate a lot of backgrounds and assets. There's just something hollow, like every scene was full of details but they were all meaningless. In a sense, it felt like eating a cake made entirely out of fondant: visually appealing but flavorless.

One of the issues with a lot of political topics is that it feels a bit overwhelming and non-actionable. And most issues seem to lose relevance in a few days. idk how people have the cognitive energy to keep up with everything.
