I feel like the success state would be the AI conceding that it cannot summarize the book rather than making an incorrect summary. I don’t know enough about AI to know if this is possible but I hope so.

Someone I work with was looking for advice for a relationship problem her and her boyfriend were having. I suggested she bring him with and talk to her pastor about it.

She goes to a mega church and never interacts with the pastor.

I hate what AI hype has done to the world, but personal feelings of worth should never be tied to whatever this thing called “the market” does and what it “thinks.”
You’re not saying that, but there seems to be a little conflating of market-based worthlessness with actual worthlessness going on.

I was thinking the same thing. It might be so it gets to people who blanket block all posts with ‘AI’ in them.

When you’re intentional and block out time for art, then whatever you do during that time is art. Don’t judge yourself harshly. Feel good that you set that time aside for a magical transformation, for what else but your intention can turn being curled up in a ball for 45 minutes into art?

There exists an object for which it is true that it is either pulled tight or if it is not pulled tight then there exists an object for which if it is pulled tight then not all objects are pulled tight.

Please don’t leave. Take an Internet break maybe, but don’t leave.

My plan for the next year is to alternate between learning months and creating months. I’ll focus on learning something specific during the learning months and not worry about output.
I’m still going to keep up with the Artwod lessons throughout.
For January, I’m going to focus on hands.

Fish man, sea devil, or ‘sahuagin’ as they’re called in D&D. I didn’t use any reference, but I was thinking about the time one of my characters got eaten by fish men in a gamebook I played a few years ago. Memorably haunting.

What does the alphabet soup potion do?

The creative blocks were not the problem but the symptoms of something deeper that I’m glad I didn’t just brute force my way through with AI. It’s a matter of personal alignment just like with your example of how you feel about monarchy. AI will try to align you with the least common denominator.

Thanks for sharing your story. I’m not a writer but I’ve been making board games since I was 8 with notebooks full of half baked ideas that haven’t gone anywhere (never finished a game). When chatGPT made its public debut, I shared some designs with it. I quickly realized it wasn’t going to help.

My group tends to spend way more time with Steve than is warranted. The DM usually has to make Steve relevant somehow.

This is a good opportunity to see how the struggle and not having the push affects your drawings. If you wait for a specific mental state before drawing, you might miss out on what ones like this have to offer.

I give myself the “to what end?” self talk a lot. I’m also almost 40. It’s possible to believe that things will work out for some happy ending and all the creative endeavors teach you something along the way, but at this age it might be more helpful to see your creativity as just for you, right now.

You can’t eat street cred. Taking care of your family and business comes first. Also, people who love your work are going to know the things you stand for regardless of platform.

Please replace those batteries if you haven’t already. Cleaning out battery acid sucks.
And awesome on getting it back in your hands after all these years! I play mine almost daily after getting a flash cart a few years ago.
