My spouse and I went out for a coffee date today and decided to take our cups outside to a spot we had never investigated between the buildings in the little shopping center surrounding us. It turns out there's a whole garden pond in the spaces between, and cool breezes... and this guy!

Not that I ran it, but I watched it from across the screen as a friend allowed it. It led to what had been a very serious campaign in his home setting turning into a comedy routine as our warriors and mages fought and cast, while the gunner would misfire or fail every turn until dying from a mishap.

Turmeric and ginger has become my #1 tea this year. It really does seem to combat everything other that fear.

I find it hilarious that I work at one of the bigger businesses on the local airport, and we as a group only found out about a large airshow happening on our field *the day before* it is scheduled to happen.

Time for another week. It's been a fun enough weekend of gathering unto myself the parts of a fun hobby, but it's tinged with the unfortunate expectation that I'll have to make some expensive doctor's visits soon.

Oof - sick on the weekend, still settling into a new office, and generating paperwork for airplane after airplane. I'm definitely ready for an early night.

I used to keep the smaller flyers put out by a local gaming con when I lived up north. They had that "classic fan zine" appearance, as though someone had made copies of a copy after accidentally not making a big enough print run.

All I ever end up with on medication is bills and a destroyed stomach. Talking with therapists helps, but that's always the "who has the time after work and before bed" kind of problem. I think it's a huge part of the problem for so many of us - there isn't time between survival and bed, y'know?

I'm so tired of depression. I've got a great workplace, my duties are fulfilled and my boss recognizes my contributions; I've got a loving spouse and adorable cats; the sun was out and the temperature was well above freezing; and I have food, money, and shelter.

It got quite cold last night in our area, and is going to be colder still tonight. Virtually no one came to work today (and I don't blame them).
Thankfully, I came home to a bowl of hot chicken soup because the spouse made sure we had it on and ready. It's definitely the highlight of the day.
