Seasons 1+2 were great, 3 was ok, 4+5 went way too deep on a couple of storylines that were just too dead-on political and completely outside the plotline.

That is the constant torture. We all feel like our work should be easier to market than it is, due to its inherent brilliance. VERY frustrating. It's hard to get someone to read long-form work, and they don't know the quality until they invest a good chunk of time... It's HARD. You're among friends.

I'm absurdly offended by how every business model needs to be subscription based. It costs ZERO dollars to publish TV schedules. The companies have to do it for internal purposes. Don't try to charge me $10/month so you can appear to be growing.

I bought a Tablo. Couldn't make it work. Super clunky software, massive connection issues, and very limited. I just wanted to record basketball games so I wouldn't have to pay a zillion dollars for YTTV. I now pay a zillion dollars for YTTV and watch like three things.

I mean... Steve Jobs just took other people's inventions and mashed them together too...

Every innovation in entertainment for the past 20 years has been how to work around the Tivo to get us to pay for devices and streaming that will make it impossible to skip ads. We now pay more money to watch more ads.
