I don't talk about it much, but I've been a vegetarian for 20 years, buy few objects (used when possible, well-made/repairable when not), walk/bike lots, drive little, fly less. Individual choices won't solve climate, but I'd like to deserve trust. Even the perception of hypocrisy undermines that.

An absolute gem of a find from yesterday. An original 1894 edition of Irish writer Jane Barlow's 'The End of Elfintown' with fantastic Beardsleyesque illustrations by Laurence Housman. It has an incredible gold-embossed front and back, and gilded page edges. It made my day - a huge mood-lifter ...
