Why Ofsted isn’t serving disadvantaged children The new scorecard and toolkits do a better job of recognising socioeconomic diversity, but there are still barriers to inclusion, argues Charlotte O’Regan

Ofsted’s proposed changes have not gone far enough in considering who can access a school to start with – meaning there are still barriers to change on inclusion, writes Charlotte O’Regan from @suttontrust.bsky.social

A relational approach doesn’t excuse poor behaviour - it strengthens accountability. It helps build trust and set firm boundaries. Respect isn’t optional, but relationships help reinforce it. High expectations + strong connections = better behaviour, not excuses.

Today ALDI released a sensory range.

I’m looking forward to taking resources to school tomorrow.
