Every now and then I remember the single day of class in 9th grade science I had where the teacher had us talking about flat earth propaganda and had us seriously discussing what shape the earth is. We never brought it up again after the day was over

Overall, this game is just pure fun. I can't think of the last time a kart racer just felt like pure fun in almost every way. I highly recommend giving this a shot even if you're not a Sonic fan. Maybe wait for a sale, though. The price is a little steep.

I do wish you could stack decals on top of each other though, and even just have more flexibility on what part of the karts you can put them on. It's not a big deal but it is the one annoying part about the system.

This game having fully customizable vehicles is easily one of my favorite parts of it. Being able to combine so many kart parts is one thing, but completely changing their colors individually and adding decals is a whole new level of fun. It's a very cool system.

Outside of Miku, I am a bit sad that post-launch characters don't have voice lines, even reused ones. It just seems like such a missed opportunity and even if mods fix it that doesn't account for everyone not playing on PC. That doesn't affect the base game, though.

I love how much personality every character in the base game has from their rival interactions and dialogue in races themselves. It's so fun messing around with different characters just to see if they'll say different things on different tracks.

I do appreciate that even if you don't own the DLC you can race on the DLC tracks though. Right now that just means Minecraft World, but in the future that'll definitely be more of a plus. Even if there's a lot of repetition though I still love playing most tracks.

I've probably been spoiled by Mario Kart 8's massive track selection, even before its booster course DLC, but I do wish the base game had more tracks. In online it definitely feels like I'm playing the same tracks over and over a lot of the time.

The tracks all have very unique aesthetics and design. I don't know if there's a track in this game I outright dislike. I definitely have ones I like less than others but I'll race anywhere. This also goes for the titular crossworlds themselves.

That final straightaway in every race is the most tense experience. Even if you're in first you're never assured a victory. One item can knock you down seven places in an instant, or someone can boost ahead right at the finish line. I genuinely love the feeling of uncertainty.

I love the chaos in this game so much. Every race feels completely uncertain until the end and even if I get a low place I'm never upset or angry. I'm in it for the adrenaline that every race makes me feel. I'm not racing for first, I'm racing for me.

It's been a month since release, so I wanna talk about Sonic Racing CrossWorlds.

This is one of the best kart racers I've ever played. Every time I boot this game up I have such a fun time and that has been consistent since release. I love this game so much.

Highly recommend giving both games a shot. You can 100% both of them in about two hours total and even if they're both very short I think both experiences are worth their $4 price tags. Really hope to see more from Kotake Create. These games are fantastic.

I feel like Platform 8 makes you interact with the scary elements a lot more than Exit 8, and I really like that. Really helps separate it from its predecessor. In general I feel like Platform 8 was more unnerving to me but I loved both a lot.

I didn't know anything about Platform 8 going into it besides that it was made by the same devs. It took me a bit to actually understand how to play since it's surprisingly different from Exit 8. Once I learned it though I really started to appreciate it. It's also a great time.

They even updated it recently because of the movie adaptation and added even more stuff to it. That stuff and the stuff I already knew about both gave me a good jump on multiple occasions. Very solid game.

I was very briefly obsessed with Exit 8 when Markiplier did his video on it a couple years ago. It was such a fascinating game to me at the time. After playing it myself I can confirm it is still a fascinating game to me that I really love.

Some of the coolest horror games I've ever seen. Both do my favorite kind of horror where most of the scares is the game slowly making you more uncomfortable to the point where the smallest thing makes you jump. I loved them.

With this and them upping Xbox console and dev kit prices to a ridiculous degree I can't imagine how this brand is supposed to survive, it already seems like it's been on life support for a while now

Halo coming to PlayStation is absolutely insane and is also probably the biggest sign that Xbox is dead
