In Super Mario Odyssey, kicking things is Mario's highest priority, overriding all other actions. If a kickable object, such as a football, is thrown at Mario while he is asleep, he will momentarily wake up just to kick it before instantly going back to sleep.

Artwork used internally at DIC Entertainment during the production of the Super Mario World cartoon, replacing Marge Simpson with Mario. According to a former DIC employee, this was made due to an inside joke at the studio, though the exact nature of the joke has been lost.

Another set of characters for my funny not Smash Bros. art project. These eight characters also don't have an overall theme. The last two characters are original characters added to add some context to the story (yes there is a story)

Super Mario World has an extremely eclectic art style whereby many enemies are drawn in completely different ways. Development files reveal Mario went through many stylistic changes; it is possible that all the enemies were made to fit Mario, but at different points in time.
